Hello, and welcome to the mindset and manifesting podcast. My name is Lynna. I'm a spiritual teacher and a coach. And in today's episode I want to talk about affirmations. All right, now, let's get into talking about affirmations. So I want to give you guys a little bit of a backstory. I know I've touched on things before. So in regards to affirmations, years ago, when I was really just tired of dealing with anxiety and depression, and I really went through a dark night of the soul. And I can't pinpoint exactly when it was, it was really something I think I probably went went through like over a period of a few years. So it wasn't like, in a matter of a couple of days I went through this dark night of the soul. I didn't so there was no traumatic event. Right? It was it was a process. Part of that was meeting my Twin Flame. And I'm not going to go into that I really did not believe in that whole concept of twin flames soulmates and then karmic relationships until recently, probably the last six months. And now as I now as I look at the whole, and what I've been shown in meditation in regards to this, that this twin flame relationship and karmic relationships now I can kind of look at it from a broader perspective and things make more sense. So that was really the catalyst for me for going within and going through this dark night of the soul and again, it was really over a period of couple years of years. So I thought, you know, I really have to get past these insecurities I'm dealing with, I really have to figure out how to get past dealing with anxiety and depression, because it is doing nothing for my life, I do not want to stay in this cycle for the rest of my life, so I was over it. And again, meeting my twin flame was the catalyst for that. Because that, that whole process, really, because of the nature of it, it causes each of the individuals to awakens an aspect of themselves that is dormant, and causes them to look inward and heal. So again, I'm not gonna, at some point later on me go more in depth into twin flames, and soulmates and karmic relationships, etc. But today, I wanted to talk about the affirmation. So in wanting to get through that, right, that dark period of my life, and break the cycle, I began looking into the law of attraction. And at first, so the affirmations, right, I understood that concept. The idea of attracting anything didn't resonate with me, the idea of things being energetic frequencies, things like that did not resonate with me. And I was okay, I just knew there was something missing. But I thought, let me try using affirmations. And they worked to a certain extent, the big thing for me was understanding that I had to stop identifying with certain characteristics about myself, I had to stop identifying with anxiety, depression, and negative self talk. So I began to pay attention to my words and my thoughts more, more. So my words, because the thoughts is a whole as thoughts come in, because they come in so rapidly, and at that time, what four years ago, I wasn't meditating, or even being still and daydreaming, really. And I wasn't observing my thoughts as much. So I still had these old beliefs and, and thoughts, assumptions, things like that running in the background of my mind. So I would write down affirmations I would say affirmations. But the big thing for me was to pay attention to the words I was speaking. So when it came to being anxious or being depressed, I no longer said I am this, I am that I write, every once in a while when I'm creating, I'm talking about it in a YouTube video, or even in a podcast episode, or speaking to other people about the experiences, I try to really watch my words, to make sure that I am not bringing up those old patterns of I am this and I am that it's an ongoing process, right? So I no longer identify with those states of consciousness. insecurities, right? Not feeling worthy, or, you know, things like that, or even needing validation from others. It's all a process. So I started with writing out affirmations once I realized, okay, I can no longer identify and say certain statements, I've got to cut that all out all together. That made a huge, huge difference, because I wasn't putting that out into the universe, in that that frequency, right? And because everything is a frequency, our words, okay. And then I started writing down affirmations but the thing is, as you're writing down after me shins and saying affirmations if you have these old belief systems about yourself playing within your mind these thoughts come in that contradict the affirmations, then ah it can take a little bit longer right to build a new belief system. So, what I have learned over the years is I have taken affirmations and I used to write down man I used to write down so many end specific like, you know, I have this or I am I am this or, or what have you. But there was so, there were so many specifics, what I've realized now is instead of having, you can have specific affirmations, you can say specific affirmations, write down specific affirmations. And they'll work right. But it may take a little bit, it may take a little bit longer depending on kind of what you have planned in the background. In your mind. I've gotten to a point now where I have a set of I would say umbrella affirmations that I say consistently in regards to health, relationships, finances and career, and I think that's it. health, finances. Relationships, career. Those are the four main categories. Those are the four main categories. And so I have I probably 10 No more than 10 There are no more I'm thinking in my head, there are no more than 10 that I have umbrella statements that cover those four areas of my life. Right and they're not. They're not very specific. Oh, spiritually, too. So, I've recently there are a couple when it comes to. For me in this like the spiritual aspect of who I am as a whole. I radiate divine love and light. That's huge for me, and abundance, okay. Because from a soul the aspect of myself my true self, the soul, right? When I speak, when I encounter others, that's what I want to radiate more than anything is really divine love, and, and just light, like I want there to be no negativity that comes forth, right? In my auric field. And abundance. Okay, and not just, and I don't mean like money just, there's a, an abundance of love in this universe, there's an abundance of knowledge and, and light because might really light. So as light comes in, as energy comes in, it brings up all this density within us that we need that we have to observe and to just let go to purge. And your light your auric field affects others, right? Because we're always in we interact energetic energetically. So I would say that's not really like a fifth. Well, it could be a fifth category, but I really just have the one affirmation for that. So So I now have this set of like 10 affirmations that I say that really encompass those four categories. So I've made it as simple as possible. And I don't say them every day. But I think them I think them every day and then when I'm in the car, or Um, you know, like, sometimes if I'm out in the yard working, or you know, if I feel like it here around the house, and I'm just, you know, like cleaning or whatever, sometimes I'll say them out loud. A lot of times I do in the car when I'm driving, it's just those umbrella affirmations. And what I have realized, it has made a huge difference. Because and because the reason I don't need to say them out loud as often is because now they are just core beliefs. Core their core beliefs, unless, of course, there's something that comes into my awareness. Where, like, an old belief, like an old shadow of some sort arises, that maybe I thought I've dealt with, but for whatever reason, it's coming up, and I'm like, you know, it comes up and I and then I think, okay, do one of these umbrella affirmations? I have? Does it cover this aspect? And I, you know, and it's either a yes or no, but then again, sometimes, see, I've talked about discernment before, too, because sometimes as thoughts come up, I have to, I have to observe them and discern, okay, are these really my thoughts? Like these affirmations that I say these core beliefs that I've now developed? related to these affirmations? Right? I am, I am healthy, right? I am, you know, successful or what have you. So, what is coming up within me? Now it does this contradict these, these new beliefs that I have? And if so, then, you know, I take a look at observe it, and I'm like, then I have to discern, is this really? My thought coming up? Or is this, you know, is is this coming up? for some other reason, because as you awaken, and you go through, you begin to go through this ascension process, what happens is you could like, as your spiritual gifts develop. And I say, develop, but we already have them again, they're just dormant within us. But everything is a process of remembering who we are and remembering these natural gifts that we have. So, are these salts really mine? Or am I tapping into a thought that's just, you know, existing within consciousness? And because I'm clairaudient, and because I channel, there's a lot of stuff that comes in, but these blanket affirmations really are now what's the term? They're now they're a foundation. They are a foundation for me now. So anything that comes in that contradicts that, you know, I observe it and I'm like, do I really believe this thought that's coming up that contradicts this affirmation? And if the answer is no, again, then I'm like, then I have to take a look at it. And without really focusing on it, but just being aware and knowing okay, this is not mine. Right? So if you are one who is working with affirmations, now, first of all, if you're not saying them out loud, I would get into really get get into the habit of saying them out loud as often as possible, because that that frequency, write up the sounds coming out of your mouth, those affirmations have power. So I'd highly recommend that. And then take a look at the affirmations. What is working for you? What is not working for you? And if you have a lot of specifics, and they're not working for you, is there an umbrella affirmation that you can create and say something that's more general that will work for you in this moment to really help you develop that new belief system. And then as you develop that new belief system, then if there are specific things that you want, you can create those new affirmations but because you have that foundation, that new belief system created from that general Alpha Meishan that you've been saying to yourself that you've been writing down, that you've been thinking for however long, then those specific affirmations that fall under that general affirmation in a specific area of your life. It'll be easier at least in, in my opinion, or my experience, it'll be easier to believe those specifics. So say your, say you're a writer, and you want to be like on the New York Times bestselling author list, well, maybe your general affirmation is, you know, I'm, I'm a successful writer. Or, I'm, you know, I'm a, I'm, I'm a published author, why have you find a general statement in regards to, or you could just say, I am successful, I am successful. And then after a while, when you really begin to believe that you are successful, then, you know, then maybe you could create an affirmation, that's, you know, I'm a New York Times bestselling author, right, something more specific. So take a look at where you are in your life right now. Where you want to be and if you use affirmations, if you whether you say them or write them down, or what have you, take a look at those affirmations or what is working for you, and what you don't believe is working for you. And and then maybe rework it a little bit.
